Their thrust is single use so they concentrate their productive capacity there.
Rayovac is for sale, the controlling shareholder, is not a long term holder.
Rayovac is not making long term bets that cost lots of money, but as RAM demand increases, and it is, they will have to come back to BTI to renegotiate a license, to get back into production and terms will be dictated by BTI.
They are using the Koreans because the strong US $ makes it worthwhile to do so.
Don't expect the US $ to stay strong for long.
This has always been the best product on the market and as wireless devices require less and less power, the day when BTI's technology becomes the standard is approaching.
