if this were an issue that can be resolved by "money" or "financial clout", BBB would not be an issue decades ago. Did 3M or all these major congolemarate just found their money yesterday? no.

That's why there is patent and all the scietific studies done- Delay in deals is frustrating, but being paranoid when a powerhouse want to get into this arena is NOT a logical response. If anything, it should demonstrate to you how valuable OUR technology is. How much do you think it would cost 3M to "develop" their own technology? 500M? 300M? and that's not even a guaranteed to work.

So speding $300M on something that may or may not work, vs. Making a deal with BTI for 300M/ license for something that has solid result so far...Not a difficiult decision to make IMO.
