Brand Name Wish List digitel posted a list of "brand name" needs last week. You can find the post
here if you want but here's its entire text anyway:
"Using brand names to act like a beacon in a risky/dark world...
BTI needs things like:
1. A credible licensing deal with a brand name pharma;
2. The backing of a brand name investment fund;
3. A brand name in Herceptin research on the Scientific Advisory Board;
4. A brand name on the Board of Directors in biotech."
Let's look at 'em, one by one...
1. A credible licensing deal with a brand name pharma;
I have stated for many years that the share price will go up when we accomplish something big enough to be carried by the biotech, financial and popular news media. Then we'll suddenly be a brand name, too. digitel is saying that, sorta, but there are several other things like partnerships and scientific news (NHPs) that could make us a brand name. We have an agreement with a large pharma. Large = brand name. Let's see how that unfolds.
2. The backing of a brand name investment fund;
We need money. With money we'll make our own news. Does money have a brand name? Most brand name funds have investment policies that keep them out of junior stocks, especially foreign junior stocks, and out of preclinical technologies and therapeutics. We don't qualify for consideration by the vast majority of funds. As soon as we become a brand name, they'll be all over us like rain on a Vancouver street. We probably won't need or want help at that point, except to do an IPO on NASDAQ.
3. A brand name in Herceptin research on the Scientific Advisory Board;
Yeah, he has raised this one before. I would say we'll need a clinical oncologist rather than a researcher. But we don't need that yet and we may never need that if we partner up on xB3-001 with a pharma. The pharma will likely bring their own.
4. A brand name on the Board of Directors in biotech."
Let's keep this insult away from Dr. Mario Saltarelli, M.D., Ph.D. and BMF besides. Ok?
Why, yes! Funny you should mention that!
digitel, beenthere and others will remain destructive. The upside is that they very often trigger posts from others that have some pretty good information in them.
Up, up and away!
