RE:RE:RE:RE:mj1981

RE:RE:RE:RE:mj1981Thank you my old friend, narmac, on the shore of that wonderful place where I know you live. We're just about to sit down to Jane's ungodly Caesar's salad, the real thing taught to us by the chefs of Jasper Park Lodge, the world's best chefs from Switzerland and France. We have shrimp so big that they would frighten your mighty Atlantic lobster. It's shrimp because that's what we had at the Athabasca Hotel in Jasper on the evening before we were married.

For dessert, Crepes Suzette, the real thing, flambe, fire to the ceiling. I would put the appropriate accents on the French words but Stockhouse won't let me, but they can't detract from the taste, those miserable censors, they.

50 years! There were times I didn't think I would live that long.

The wine? Quail's Gate Rose, Reserve, just the ticket because a beloved daughter-in-law runs some things there.

All told, a great day with greetings from everywhere. So blessed.

Wish you all were here...

John & Jane, Dec 4, 2021.
