pure energy

pure energyIt looks like Energy Ventures EVI has failed to raise the money to buy control of Pure Energy ( we may be surprised} Pure Energy continues to operate in the red however I was told by one of the partners there about a year ago that Walmart was enjoying a solid increase in sales of Pure Energy products which would give them an opportunity to get a listing with Walmart in the US. The Pure Energy displays at my local Wallmart are bigger and better this Christmas and tyhey have product at the cash register. We never see promotions or advertising for this product so this is big news. I understand that Wallmart has seen a sales increase of over 100% in 2002 in Pure Energy products. This type of increase for a product that has been on the shelf for years is unheard of without a promotion. I feel that one of the options open to BTI would be a merger with Pure Energy coincident with the landing of A US Wallmart listing. It is interesting that with the stock looking like it is on its' last legs it could be on the verge of a major breakthrough. It would certainly explain why we have had these flurries of activity in the stock over the last year or so. There always seems to be a steady interest in the stock in 07 to .10 range IMHO
