Bad News Likely

Why would you halt the stock if the information from the drilling progress was good.   They have already indicated that they expect results to be good in their May 8th press release.   So, given they are at the 11:59 on the drill, it would appear that there are problems and they need more time to assess the drilling results.   Because expectations are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo high for a successful well, it would be logical to assume that they would only halt if they thought they may not meet expectations.

“If the news was any better than what BUK had already communicated to the market, why halt the stock??” WTF are you talking about? All BUK did was state to the market that they had gas shows when they began to drill the horizontal component of this development well. They never stated anything about flow as they were still drilling the well. You can’t test a well if it’s not drilled yet so ...more
