RE: RE: RE: RE: Additional thoughts about BVG...John, you're a little too quick on the draw with your facts. Kinross just took out Underworld at 1.5 million ounces. Aggressive majors are stepping down into small, high-quality deposits, with the goal of making them bigger.
Eskay Creek was the most prolific high grade gold and silver mine in the history of the province, at a "mere" 4 million ounces of gold, and that suited Barrick just fine.
These are well knows facts in the "mining industry", so I am not sure where you're getting your 5 million ounce figure from.
Homestake Ridge has the same general geography and geology as what was found at the Eskay deposit. It also seems to be getting better each time they drill it.
Since you have been around the industry for a long time, you will also know that every single major deposit found in the past 60+ years has come from a recycled project that someone else said was finished and nothing was there. The best way to find something is to keep looking, which is what I expect them to do.
