IMO, a very good post and philosophy for investments old dog.  I still have to watch that I'm not letting my emotions control my investment decisions.  I have a common complex of thinking of my stocks, as children and don't like to see them mistreated.  This can stop you from selling, as it's tough to sell your children. lol

I still haven't done my promised DD, but I'll make a few more comments.  I sold a similarly priced stock to buy CAJ stock.  These are my minor investments, so please excuse my cavalier attitude at times.   Penny stocks have fantastic leverage and the few that do become dead money give clear signs ahead of doing it, in my experience.  The share structure here at first glance looks ok and if they need cash a PP would have no problem attracting quick support and make for a quick close and approval, to strike now while the iron is hot.  IMO, they still have a nice chunk of change coming in for a junior with the expect sale of gold from the bulk samples on an older property.  The SP looks like it's been beaten down like all the rest of the juniors due Macro Issues of 2011.  When you check all stocks notice that they all had their first lows of the year @ Aug 4th when U.S. politicians played debt chicken.  Then in the first week of Oct they had a second bottom over Europe.

I sold V.EZ after making money on it twice.  I was going to sit on it, but I had given the new CEO time to close a PP or something else like a JV on a good property they hold.  They are being linked with 3 other juniors now, as having the same offices and mgmts, so it was starting to appear like a shell game, that would end badly, as people were threatening to try to start legal actions through regulators.  Instead of becoming a short seller or playing ETF's I've traded penny stocks in 2011.  I have large investments in long term plays that I'm simply holding waiting for the Venture to rebound and for those companies to excecute their business plans and developments.  This is a part-time obsession/hobby that pays me.  I hold a well paid job installing network cabling systems and I make my own hours.  I consider myself a basher's worst nightmare, hence my picture and the fact I can hold for as long as it takes.
