RE:Why Did Graphite Mining Stop at Miller/Asbury?...Valid question -- anyone who hasn't at least wondered about this has the blinders on (or is just in full pump mode and is only here for the short flip). I have wondered ... but not lookied into it. It could be that the size of the graphite market at the time was very small, and the infrastructure to process and distribute (Birch1's comment) the raw materials in sufficient quantity for those market(s) was already built up in the East. But I'm just spitballing.
