Canadian-Yemeni Relations Canada confirms its participation in the Donors Conference OTTAWA, Oct 16 (Saba)- The Canadian government welcomed the success on the presidential and local elections of Yemen held on Sept 20th. The deputy chairman of Canadian Agency for Humanitarian Development in European, Middle East Affairs Jile Rafar confirmed in a meeting held with Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al- Arhabi,that his country likes to participate in the Donors Conference to be held in London. London conference aims to support the development march in Yemen. Ha also confirmed that Canada has a keen interest to develop and enhance cooperation relations with Yemen as well as support the efforts of development reforms in Yemen. Al- Arhabi briefed the Canadian side on the development challenges face Yemen as well as the current arrangements for Donors Conference. He presented a detailed show about the implementation of the comprehensive reforms agenda that help in creating suitable environment for investmentand led to updating the civil cervices. He also pointed out to the improvement in the mutual cooperation between the Yemen and Gulf Countries. Yemen's ambassador to Canada Abdullah Nasher said that the visit of al-Arhabi to Canada gave a strong push for the Yemeni-Canadian relations. TD/TN
