Notice of Annual General Meeting

The notice is out on  Sedar - meeting will be held on June 13, 2011 in Kelowna.  Other details about the meeting will be out on May 2, 2011.  It also says "Record Date for Voting" is May 2. Does anyone know what this means?  I think it just means those that are shareholders as of May 2, 2011 can vote on June 13 - is that correct?
