New rig old rig

New rig old rigThe new rig is reported to be a telescopic double with a good heavy hook and lots of power. That would be give me some hope that a pipe can be recovered, not easy but some hope as this would be the correct equipment. The old rig is being rebuilt in Moncton and that is now a side issue and it will be expensive. The hold up will not be the recontruction but the new work cerification so it can be put back into operation. The inspection may be more of an issue that the recontruction. As for the CEX double telescopic rig that would be great for the new holes and work as it has the power. This rig may be loaner from their friends at Stealth Ventures, that saves money, nice to have friends. Cost of a 'one way trip' from Alberta to the Maritimes for a double rig, 700,000 to 900,000 dollars dead money, before you ever turn a wheel. Remember you have to send it back also. CEX is lucky to have a rig and it will be very expensive to clean up the mess and carry on, but carry on they will, a little bad luck for the start.
