Dr Bruce Rohrlach - General Manager - Exploration - SOLG
Bruce completed an Honors Degree (Geology) from the University of Adelaide in 1987 and was awarded 1st Class Honors. His thesis addressed The Structural Geology and Mineralization at the Reedy's Gold Mine, Murchison Goldfield W.A. Bruce also completed a PhD at the Research School of Earth Sciences, Australian National University, Canberra (1997-2002), and studied the Tectonic Evolution, Petrochemistry, Geochronology and Palaeohydrology of the Tampakan Porphyry - High Sulphidation Epithermal Cu-Au Deposit, Mindanao, Philippines.
Bruce has had a 24 year career in the mineral industry in Australia, Philippines, PNG, Indonesia and South America. This has included extensive experience in all stages of the exploration to development cycle, from establishment of exploration and ore genesis models to management of reconnaissance and advanced exploration programs in regional and mine environments. Bruce has also had considerable experience in scoping and feasibility studies, and orebody delineation in 2 world class copper-gold deposits – at Tampakan and Tujuh Bukit.
