September 2016: With the mining industry now looking to the future with optimism, thirty international speakers will come together to analyze the exploration sector at Chile Explore Congress 2016, which takes place on September 7th-8th at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Santiago. The event forms part of Explo Week 2016, organized by Chile Explore Group, with the aim of attracting investors and promoting the development of new mine projects in the country. The conference will include presentations on five new mineral discoveries and 13 exploration projects.
On September 7th, the conference will examine Chile’s potential in lithium, with consultant Chris Berry providing a global perspective on the industry, while other speakers will discuss opportunities in Chile and the environmental restrictions on their development. The agenda also includes presentations on the latest developments in the modelling of copper porphyries while Dr. Richard Tosdal will explain the magma fertility index for this type of mineral deposit. Yvan Crepeau, VP Exploration at Cornerstone Capital Resources, and Jason Ward, president of Exploraciones Novomining SA, will discuss Cascabel, one of the largest porphyries discovered in Latin America in recent years.
