Claritas Investors Purpose

The purpose of CLAS FB and CI sites are to provide a forum for a community of investors to come together and interact with one another about our investment. The ground rules we have established are not meant to be restrictive but to protect that conversation.

Within our sites we would like to continue developing a CLAS community (pun intended) where we can have respectful, civil conversations, even vigorous debate, as well as friendly banter. This won’t happen if we are name calling and trashing each whether that be here or on other various platforms. (And we all know we all read the platforms.)
 
Investopedia definitions:
Pumper -  “A ‘pumper’ as one who perpetrates a manipulative scheme that attempts to boost the price of a stock or security through fake recommendations. These recommendations are based on false, misleading, or greatly exaggerated statements.”
 
Basher -  “A basher is a person engaging in an illegal type of market manipulation to make the price of an asset fall. Stock bashers rely on misinformation campaigns to decrease confidence in a stock, leading to an undervaluation of that stock. In some cases, a stock basher may have a position in the asset which benefits from a fall in price.”
 
So calling someone a pumper simply because they are optimistic or a basher because they have concerns or questions makes if very challenging to have respectful dialogue.
 
If we do in fact have people on any of our sites that fit the definition of a pumper or basher than by all means call them out, report them to an Admin and we will address it. But if we are going to do that we want to be sure they fit the descriptions as defined above and it’s not just someone being a little overly optimistic at times or having legit questions or concerns. Hopefully some of those questions and concerns get addressed by other members.
 
Since we are all invested in the same company and want the same thing, to make money, I would hope we could interact with each other as acquaintances and not adversaries. Whichever of the multiple forums we may meet at.
 
Hope my rambling makes sense and you all get where I am coming from.
