In relation to trolls and message boards. I've been reading message boards and posting since the advent of the "interweb"..........
There are various strategies used to deal with trolls. The one that you mention is partially effective however there are many that have been overtly insulted and threatened so, replies from legitimate posters is also the norm. In addition, there are others that feel trolls should not have free reign and go unchallenged. In the latter case, the trolls will overrun the board. This has happened to too many to name stocks on Stockhouse during the last 20 years.
The main motivation of trolls is to scare naive inexperienced investors to sell their shares. The troll is either short or wants to buy the shares at a lower price.
Personally, I take these troll posts and the replies with a serious amount of humour. In this specific case, even gCrap has a good sense of humour.
As Cielo gets to be more known, more trolls will show up. At this point in time this board is incredibly mild mannered.
