The Fed cannot lower rates anytime soon.  The increasing stock market and government spending on guns and butter are adding too much liquidity to the system which keeps inflation elevated.  It would take a serious economic csisis or downturn for the Fed to lower rates.  But the Fed only controls short term rates and I expect long term rates to continue to rise due to the huge
