Nickel refinery

Does anyone know which Majors have their own nickel refinery in Canada? Is it Vale and Glencore?

I would love to see the governement help organise  the refinery as it will be needed by all.

RM ...Glencores Sudbury matte goes to Norway via rail from Sudbury to Montreal then put on a boat to offloading in Norway to there refinery ... Vale .. Opened in 1902, Clydach refinery is one of the oldest in the world. Today, the plant produces refined nickel in the form of powder and pellets, sold to more than 280 customers in over 30 countries across Europe, Asia and the USA. The refinery is ...more

Thanks Idlefreebird. Longterm I dont see this as the solution. I think the gov is looking into gettign a refinery here. Would it be best for the Majors to build this? If BHP is expecting to have nickel reserves here in Canada to serve the North American market - it would make sense to spend that Billion wouldnt it? Or maybe this is something they organise after they have acquired their mining ...more
