Crux interview

New Crux interview out. Lotsa good meat to chew on.

Very solid interview. I like the fact there are possibilities of more strategics becoming involved and increasing the drilling on more properties incase of a hostile takeover.     International governments are inplay here as well as the carmakers and battery guys to ensure supply chains.  Scotia and Deutsche brought in due to the high demand.     Mincor ...more

You don't really mention the Federal government. They are getting in the way of building more residential housing in the name of protecting the green belt.  This will also impact mining. https://twitter.com/TorontoStar/status/1639970469573959681

"Increased pace of discussions" with OEM's.    International governments will help fund/ create incentives to the EV/battery makers through export agencies.     Great analogy of this being a similar generational moment in history comparing to WW2 when metals demand from governments went throught the roof.   OEM's are realizing there are few ...more

So let me get this straight.  According to you deals are imminent... while you say its going to take over a year. If deals are imminent why the 1 million dollar a year promotional budget? Why make a Crux video if deals are imminent?  Crux video after Crux video all while we've been hearing about deals for the last three years. Why make a Crux video if a deal is around the corner ...more

Thanks endzone.....good interview!

My biggest worry was always that they'd sell off everything with Crawford and just add additional blue sky potential, but what I'm hearing seems to suggest, but not fully confirmed (although Matt does his darn best to get it out of Mark), that we could be selling at least some of them off separately, but for sure knowing that we will have done as much as possible to get full value for them ...more

Unfortunately I haven't been able to buy more at these crazy (good) prices. Down over 56% but would love to get more. Been waiting for my GENM shares to have gone up, losing good there too ATM, but they too are delayed with things. Old age sucks, but at least it has taught me some patience ;)

Ivorygull, Mark is setting this up to piece it out.  Crawford will go first for obvious reasons. I suspect that to come after feasibility.  The rest will sell as a package. If the feasibility is above everyone's expectations, then in that scenario I expect a bidding war including from the company that takes Crawford. There are about 4-5 companies that would be in a position to ...more

Thanks apapas1973, and I agree that we are piecing it out, but I don't think that selling off only Crawford and then selling all the rest together is piecing it out. Since Reid alone is going to be bigger than Crawford, then IMO we should at least be selling that one off separately as well, if not a third, before the rest get packaged. That in my mind would give us the closest to getting the ...more

I don't see it being pieced out. Find a big number and make it work. That's years of more PEA's etc that won't see value for a long time after a cash for Crawford deal. You also run the risk of nickel being phased out of EV's when something eventually comes along.
Comment by CravingProfits on Mar 27, 2023 11:30am
I also think the Crawfird buyer would want more than a single deposit if only not to have competitors opening up more mines around them. [20 ? Lol] I can see 2 or 3 parcels in a single deal minimum. Synergies,  longevity  if that is the correct term for this possible future buyout? Glta.
Comment by EndZonefor7 on Mar 27, 2023 11:51am
Agreed Craving, any buyer would want major exploration potential to expand. Has to be some extra meat on the bone for the majors. They would want Reid and Texmont too. Maybe keep the rest in a spin out but the core company should be bought out.
Comment by CanadianPatriot on Mar 28, 2023 7:01am
Buyer wants exploration potential to expand?  So why are they not buying low grade deposits like this one?  Is it because the low grade nickel is just background noise and any company can pick up their own deposits?  CNC got these properties very cheap recently. Why not Dumont shovel ready and it has cheap Quebec hydro for years? Why spin out properties if there is demand?  ...more

Lotsa good meet to chew on? Endzone sees CNC as a prime Thoroughbread. After what we expereinced in the last 3 years of bought deal financing, What do the Aligators, Wolves and Sharks of Bay Street see? Sweet Delecious Horse Meat!

If he was actually a shareholder I'd laugh. Oh sorry, he has 100 shares so he can vote.   No need for cash til early next year. By that time there will be one or more OEM's who have ponied up huge chunks of cash to secure supply. But keep on with your FUD gripe.
Comment by CanadianPatriot on Mar 28, 2023 11:35am
You keep saying a year. Things are going to happen a year... while saying imminent.  Which one is it? Cash will last until a year... then what?  Hype like we've seen with previous financal crisis the company has faced where a major rumor surfaces and then shares are printed and investors are fleeced? You still haven't answered my question on the Dumont play.  How much did ...more

FUD Gripe? Reminds me of one of my elective courses I took in Criminal Law.  Anyways there's a clause in the Criminal Code that makes it a Criminal Offence to make a racist statement. The clause below that says that the previous clause will not apply if the statement is true! In that context, is it a racist statement to say that a certain ethnic race are good runners? It could be taken ...more
