Timmins

My point was that if you live in Timmins you should be buying the stock. You guys wil probably have the biggest Nickel extraction and processing operation in the world. 

Plus Selby doesn't exactly seem like he would block a take over by take-your-pick.

Timmins home prices are much less than big cities. If you bought a place there recently, you could probably pay off your mortgage in 3 years versus 20 with some CNC shares.

I moved away from Timmins about 6 years ago and spent 15 years underground there........I stay in touch with a few people........believe me, they know the noise CNC is making

It does seem as though this is getting more de-risked as an investment. Anything that can move this up and out of penny stock range puts it in the pension fund category.  I'm not sure Selby is eager to sell the baby. This is getting so close to fruition that the deal would likely have to be pretty sweet; otherwise, I could see more off-takes nibbling.  All that said, this will not ...more

My understanding is that Economic Development's involvement and planning and coordination precedes capital budget planning.  I can see smaller municipalities not convening for the summer but Timmins is up and running with their Council meetings still.

They might be parallel processes. I suppose it does depend on what's on the ec-dev dept's calendar (trade shows, etc.). Sometimes ec-dev planning does precede cap asset mgt planning, but that also depends on if there are usual rollover issues that have been baked in for several years already (like replacing culverts and such).
