Camino said this in a 2018 news release: "Our work to date has shown that Chapitos was likely formed under the same conditions as Mina Justa. These latest results are extremely encouraging and provide further support for our confidence that Chapitos could host a very large copper oxide deposit similar to Mina Justa located on the same belt of rocks 100 kilometers to the northwest."
Mina Justa is a $1.6B copper open-pit mine that is next door to Los Chapitios.
The Company believes that Los Chapitos is approaching the minimum tonnage required to support a small-scale mining operation, and that these latest results indicate the potential for additional copper tonnage.
