RE: EU vows to tackle 'blood minerals'

RE: EU vows to tackle 'blood minerals'Wow, blaggers, I cannot believe that black market number.  I was always hesitant to say that number because I didn't want to be called out on a blatant exageration.

The official number is 15 percent of the tantalum producction in the world comes from Congo.  The black market number I read and got e mails on from some key people was 25 percent, but for Commerce to come out and say 90 percent is from Congo.....

I have to tell you that I am completely beside myself about that number.  That basically puts on the black list some of the most important companies in the world as basically murderers.  I am not exagerating when I state that:  90 percent of the world supply means that every electronics company in the world is subsidizing the rape of women and the slave labour of 10 year old children in dangerous mines where the penalty for not producing is death.

This means that no electronics company in the world is not buying its tantalum from Congo.

I have been really reading a lot about this, and I will be honest with you, it kind of started out as an exercise in the creation of my own wealth, but the more I read, the more I am flabergasted that such atrocities to make ipads can take place.

If Commerce is right here that 90 percent of the world supply is from the DRC, then there is practically a moral obligation from the world to get Commerce and Avalon and CRE and every other tantalum company off the ground and open and producing conflict free tantalum.

This can only get worse.  There is no other direction this can go for electronics companies.  The Dodd-Frank bill moves into effect March 31, and it is going to blow it all up.  Europe will follow suit. with their own legislation

The pressure will be on like it was at Nike in the sweat shops of the world.

Congrats to JSL and the CRE board for the last 15 purchases in BC and Quebec being all about tantalum.  I first started talking about this 5 months ago to JSL that tantalum was the real value not so much the lithium, and he has taken the bull by the horns and made it his personal journey and I congratulate him for his intelligence and his conscience.

Ain't a Joe in the world gonna stop this one day.  But every Joe in the world is gonna stop the ironically named Democratic Republic of Congo.  Nothing is democratic about it.
