Critical Elements Lithium Corp is a Canada-based mining exploration company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and processing of critical minerals mining properties in Canada. Its projects include Rose Lithium-Tantalum, Rose North, Rose South, Arques, Bourier, Dumulon, Duval, Nisk, Lemare, Caumont, and Valiquette. The Rose Lithium-Tantalum property consists of over 473 claims covering a total area of over 246.55 square kilometers (km2). It lies in the northeastern part of Superior Province, within the Eastmain greenstone belt. The Rose North property consists of about 31 claims covering a total area of over 16.14 km2. The Arques Property is composed of one block totaling around 136 claims covering an area of 6,840.93 hectares (ha) over 18 kilometers (kms) in length in a Southwest-Northeast direction. The Bourier Property is comprised of over 304 claims with an area of 15,616.47 ha for over 30 kms. The Rose South property consists of over 280 claims.

En droite ligne avec le vaste projet d'lectrifier le secteur des transports, le Qubec va extraire de son sous-sol le lithium servant fabriquer les batteries des vhicules lectriques.

Nemaska Lithium, une entreprise qubcoise, a obtenu le feu vert des autorits gouvernementales pour aller de l'avant avec son projet visant extraire 3475 tonnes de minerai par jour pendant 26 ans.

Les travaux de construction sur le territoire de la Baie-James, prs du village cri de Nemaska, devraient dbuter d'ici la fin de l'anne et la mine devrait tre en opration en 2018, procurant 250 emplois durant la phase de construction et 190 emplois par la suite.

L'entreprise vient de recevoir son certificat d'autorisation du ministre du Dveloppement durable et de l'Environnement pour procder.

 

Mme si le secteur minier traverse un important creux de vague depuis quelques annes, la demande pour le lithium servant de composante aux batteries de vhicules lectriques est en pleine croissance.

 

L'annonce du projet Whabouchi a t faite vendredi par le prsident de Nemaska Lithium, Guy Bourassa, en prsence du ministre dlgu aux Mines, Luc Blanchette, et du ministre des Ressources naturelles, Pierre Arcand.
