Guess that battery plant will source the lithium etc from outside Canaduh, unless CRE/Comex get their collective sh1t together. SMH "With the capacity to produce 45 gigawatts annually, the plant would be the largest of the 13 battery plants announced to begin production in North America by 2025."

Reading between the lines of this and the Ontario 3.5bil investment in critical minerals (nickel, lithium, cobalt) I'd bet a lot of lithium supply will come from Frontier, maybe Rocktech if they can get their project off the ground. Those r the only Ontario lithium mines I know of.

If they are planning on a 2025 start up they are going to need some other source of lithium, I doubt Ontario is going to be ready to supply anyone by then.

Ok, Ontario is alot closer than China to sell our goods, so that is a good thing I guess. But will Quebec who said that they wanted to be North America's battery hub just stay sitting down and watch the train go by ? I have seen many billion dollar projects proposed in the province of Quebec  and most of them are tanked after by the environment people who apparently have the Party ...more

We await CATL and BritishVolt (in Quebec) development concerning battery plant. -- "We can still dream on for a while since CATL that has not confirmed the location of their 5 billion dollar North America battery plant."
