COMEX June 15th minutes are late ??

I thought that they publish those 45 working days after the fact.

We are now more than 10 weeks later and removing weekends and holidays still leaves more than 50 days.

So this week ?

I am anxious to see what progress was made towards delivering the "FAMOUS" letter of recommendation.

Has someone wrote comex lately? Nick
Comment by Radnaksi on Aug 28, 2022 6:12pm
Minutes are posted within 45 (business days?) from the date of approval. Approval takes place on the next meeting ( July meeting). Hence 45 days has not passed yet. Refer to Comex FAQ.

Thank you Radnaski. So around September 9th then.
Comment by Radnaksi on Aug 29, 2022 9:02am
On the Ceo site someone managed to compute the number of days it took for the past few minutes to be posted by looking into the metadata of the file. I think it was 65-70 days from the date of the meeting for last few minutes.

Totally unacceptable

I emailed Comex and here was Sophie's reply: Hello Jade, The minutes for the COMEX meetings are posted online 45 days after approval by the Committee members. The minutes from the June meeting were approved by the Review Committee during the July 26th meeting, and will be posted on September 9th. Regarding the Rose Lithium-Tantalum mining project, as stated in the minutes from the ...more

Very helpful information. Thank you for both making the enquiry and passing it on to us.

Thanks for sharing Jaded84, not sure why she would apologize for French only , not a big deal.  I'm still confident the decision will be positive.

Thanks for sharing Jaded. So does anyone have any thoughts on why the rose project is "very complex" whereas nemaska was obviously simplistic?
Comment by Speedypete on Aug 29, 2022 5:57pm
Because it isnt backed by IQ.
Comment by Wheeler on Aug 29, 2022 6:03pm
Yeah that makes sense.
Comment by icefish on Aug 29, 2022 6:26pm
I might be reading too much into this but the use of the word " was complex " vs. " is complex ' makes me think the review is complete  by the use of the past tense word " was"
Comment by Bullatnl on Aug 29, 2022 7:13pm
My take as well. The review is completed

I too am one who reads far too much into all the comex documents and emails, besides what else are you supposed to do when you wait five years for a permit decision, however, one thing does strike me about this letter from Sophie. She writes, "the project was never held up purposely." I find this to be an interesting choice of words. She did not say, "the review was never held up ...more

You keep forgetting who you are dealing with.
Comment by Wheeler on Aug 30, 2022 11:29am
I've had a decade of empty promises, trust me I know who I'm dealing with and I concede that I could be totally wrong.

All of the pundits including Howard Klein and Joe Lowry agree that Quebec has massive potential in the worldwide lithium market but also agree that the government has been a debacle. Lowry in his last podcast states that Investment Quebec has been a disaster in relation to these projects. What is made very clear from any expert in the lithium market is that every ounce of lithium will be needed ...more

I'm sure that everyone except the COMEX, IQ and the Quebec government has noticed that CRE's management has excercised incredible restraint , in that they have chosen to NOT publicly ridicule the process. Cre's management has been adding very specific personal to move this project forward , when the permit comes through. It must be difficult to realize that even with the premature ...more

There is lots of competition between Ontario and Quebec vying for dominance in the battery mineral sector.  Any further delays with permit approval only shifts the balance to Ontario
Comment by monkeyhere171 on Aug 30, 2022 9:05pm
Don't want to point out the bad news but a reminder  that CRE was in the July COMEX agenda and was discussed during the 406 (July) meeting. These meeting minutes won't be available until they are approved during the 407 meeting (September) and can have the potential to be the one we are looking for. So I don't expect any meaningful feedback from the June meeting minutes ...more

From what I see there is no bad news only no new All indications are the decision is done one way or another  no BS please!!  I'm tired of it !!

Based upon the letter that jaded received, if we do not see a permit within a week to 10 days then I would suspect that comex has not yet submitted their recommendation/report to the administrator. Due to the fact that the administrator must make a permit decision within 45 days of receiving the recommendation from comex as per Sophie's email. Looking through the comex history it appears that ...more
