Did you read Helmer's article about CRU? He did not get that there was 95% dilution in December 2009! How credible was that? Or his thoughts about IPO that can happen every day depending on the price of gold? What about the companies that prepare for IPO for a year or two? I guess John does not know the difference between IPO and M&A (or maybe even NBA). And where is that mysterious chinese buyer? Or Standard bank in action? Or Severstal that cannot spend a dollar on acquisitions because of bond covenants ($100+ m spent on CRU and $100+ m on HRG since then)? Do reality check when you read such made up stuff
As to investment bankers it is easy one. They work with MS at least since HRG first acquisition. They would not go to JPM just to please Helmer. Citi could be another bank, they worked on Severstal IPO a few years ago
