RE:CNRL doing their own thingThe report you are quoting in point 1 does not contain the name of any company that CNRL is working with other than a bunch of non-profit industry think tanks and research organizations. I am sure that CNRL are working with many other companies, the fact that none of them are mentioned doesn't mean a thing.
I tried searching the internet for the text that you quote in your 2nd point. I tried using multiple search engines. It's funny, I can't be found anywhere.
NRU tailings are only the tailing that go through the Naphta Recovery Circuit. If CNRL have found a better way of recovering Naphta, it doesn't mean the rest of CVW's tech is being abandoned. We already know that CNRL's NRU circuit is not recovering all of the Naptha and that is the benefit of CVW's tech.
