Some perspective

Just a couple of thoughts to try to maintain my perspective on this project. Aside from the ESG aspect of reducing waste and carbon footprint of the oilsands, titanium is on the list of critical elements that the federal government has begun pushing at really hard. Used in everything from EVs, aerospace, industrial pigments and medical devices. Around 2/3s of the world's supply comes from, you guessed it, Russia and China. There is a massive need for this project to be successful.

Definitely true the metals side of this project represents a whole new industry for Alberta. Precisely the reason why there will be significant Government grants and loan guarantees available to this projects. Capital cost have been updated in the Nov presentation deck on the company website. My understanding is these costs are gross and don't incorporate the benefits of the likely grants ...more
