RE:RE:RE:RE:Road study using cematrix I got the coordinates about two years ago. It was done on peat roads that breakup annually. They are still in great shape. Now if our politicians stop and use their brains for 2 minutes they will realize that by spending a little bit of money up front, they will save millions in the end. I actually drove up to the area and checked them out. They are in very good shape. I have been telling those reading these posts to get out and educate the infrastructure people, the engineers and politicians. I have been doing my best over the past year. I have been making headway. The roads in the Michigan, Kent county (Chatham), Essex county (Windsor) and lambton county (sarnia) are Glysolic soils which is very high in organic matter and moisture. Very weak. Great for farming but horrible for roads because the high moisture content causes a high level of heaving between the seasons of the year. I did major in soils from the university of Guelph, so, do have a little idea of soil conditions. The roads are so bad in these areas. I would like to see a study on car repairs from these areas verse other areas. My money is that suspension and tires and shocks are much more frequent, thus, much more costly. So, as a resident of Ontario in this area, maybe it's time as voters we get in the politicians faces to have them address this issue. At least do some studies in that area. My talks with a few Michigan engineers, they are getting it and agree. It's only a matter of time before this catches on. That's why I say a major infrastructure company if they were smart they would be buying up CVX.
