If you want a full service broker, you'll have to look to your closest city to open a trading account with a brokerage. (fees cost more that way). If you go to a self directed trading account, I use RBC Direct Investing.  You can open it through the nearest RBC bank by filling out the forms.  The RBC Direct Investing account has a practice account that you can learn on your own.

Check the BMO... also has a good self directed on line trading platform.
