vast offshore concessions in Namibia Investors are still nervous after Namibian Minerals (NMC:TSX) (NMCOF:NASDAQ) (NMC:NSX) had a very narrow escape after a titanic struggle to re-launch its crippled subsidiaries when a sea-bed accident knocked out its mining vessel in early 2001 and sank its cash-flow. Nervousness has been rekindled by muffled news in April 2002 of the sinking of one of De Beer's contractor's mining ships on the same stretch of coast. The crunch question for investors is: "Can Diamond Fields International raise cash and credibility to go-it-alone on exploring its vast offshore concessions in Namibia and South Africa?" If yes, then it is a flier, if not it may have a hard slog ahead.
