TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 21, 2011) -DiaBras Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:DIB) is pleased to report thatsurface sampling of the San Patricio prospect on its wholly owned BaceracProperty has identified high grades of silver and gold. The sampling programunderway resulted from Management's decision late in 2010 to accelerateexploration work on this broad, altered area.
"These are exciting results," stated Daniel Tellechea, President &CEO. "The potential for an open-pitable silver-gold-lead mine at San Patriciohas increased significantly. We are advancing the project by trenching with anexcavator in order to evaluate the zone further. Bacerac is one of the fourgreenfield precious metal projects that Dia Bras is planning to drill in 2011.These four projects add exploration upside to our more advanced development workon Bolivar and Cusi properties."
The project area contains Tertiary volcanic rocks consisting of rhyolitic andandesitic flows and breccias that overlie probable Cretaceous sedimentary rocks;both units locally exhibit strong alteration. A large area of alteration andmineralization surrounds the historic San Patricio mine and provides a largeexploration target. Mineralization is commonly associated with stronglysilicified rhyolitic rocks near the base of the unit at or near the contact withunderlying sedimentary rocks. Veins are locally important. There are multiplesmall mines and prospects in the region.
Infrastructure, only five kilometres from the https://www.diabras.com/files/media/49211_Bacerac%20Regional%20Infrastructure.pdf SanPatricio prospect area, includes a major regional highway, towns, a power grid, etc. These factors will have a significant positive effect on future operationcosts.
The https://www.diabras.com/files/media/2e71c_San%20Patricio.pdfmap of the San Patricio prospect area shows that the mineralized quartz brecciacovers an area of approximately 600 x 400 m, within which the recent samplingshows a silver-gold-lead mineralized zone of about 300 x 200 m. The mineralizedzone has not been completely closed off and remains open to the northeast.
Sampling crews have collected rock-chip channel samples in a grid patternaround the old San Patricio mine, and a senior geologist has been conductingregional and detailed mapping. Selected results are shown in Table 1 and https://www.diabras.com/files/media/8c86a_NR%20No%202%20Bacerac%20-%20San%20Patricio%20Sample%20Spreadsheet.pdfresults for all samples are available on the Company's web page.

Trenching is in progress with an excavator cutting trenches 400 m long, at aspacing of 100 m, oriented in a NE-SW direction.
The results from surface sampling, trenching and mapping are expected toidentify several, high priority drill targets that will be drilled during thesecond quarter of this year.
Method ofAnalysis
Samples were prepared at the ALS Chemex lab facility in Chihuahua, Mexico, and analyzed by ICP and AA methods at their facilities in Vancouver, Canada.Diamond drill samples sent for analysis consisted of half NQ-size and BQ-sizediamond core split on site, prepared by the ALS Chemex sample preparationlaboratory in Chihuahua, Mexico, and assayed for Au by 50 g fire assay with AAfinish, and for Ag by AA on 50 g split sample at the ALS Chemex North VancouverLaboratory. Assays for Pb, Zn and Cu are processed by Induction Coupled Plasma(ICP) at ALS Chemex.
QualityControl
The quality assurance-quality control (QA-QC) of Dia Bras has been describedin detail in both RPA's NI 43-101 reports of December, 2006, at Cusi andOctober, 2005, for Bolivar.
