DM's SMART in support of Canada's pandemic surveillance syst

Came across the following article today, highlighting Canada the fact Canada is in the process of (re)launching an intelligence team to prepare for future pandemics.

I think DM's Nexalogy SMART would be extremely well placed to play a key role in this process.  A few observations/notes (https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/phac-intelligence-pandemic-covid-1.6077639) .

Main elements include:

Public Health Agency launches intelligence team to prepare for future pandemics

  • Public Health Agency of Canada has reorganized its internal divisions and assembled a security and intelligence section tasked with providing better, faster warnings of future pandemics
  • officials confirmed the reorganization; they refused to provide details on how the security and intelligence team will be organized.
  • Auditor General Karen Hogan released a blistering report on the handling of the Global Pandemic Health Intelligence Network (GPHIN), a multilingual monitoring system that scours the internet for reports of infectious diseases. (Note: If DM could contribute to the new warning system, it could perhaps benefit from GPHIN's multilingual system to help expand SMART's current multilingual capabilities)
  • The decision to establish the new unit comes at a time when governments everywhere are under pressure to improve their health intelligence capabilities. The World Health Organization (WHO) and allies such as the United States, Britain and Germany are planning major pandemic early warning initiatives. (Note: If DM could get involved it may open up doors to other countries/organisations - those mentioned or others)
  • At a summit meeting in Brussels last week, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the world needs more than vaccines to move on from the current crisis. "We need better surveillance,..We need to be prepared in the infrastructure...It would be good if we worked together and agreed on that to reform the WHO because, in particular, we have to improve the early warning system..."
  • The UK, as host of this year's G7 summit, made preventing another global catastrophe one of the summit's key themes. The U.K.'s top science adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, has said that an improved early warning system would be a critical component of post-pandemic rebuilding efforts.
  • WHO, which was a big supporter of Canada's GPHIN, is pushing for countries to cooperate more closely and is calling for a global pandemic preparedness treaty.

Some great posts and exchange of ideas here today, this one in particular is a excellent observation. The community of those that are "Knowing What They Own" appears to be growing. I'm with Rocking & been here since 2017 as well Current shareprice is 100% non reflective company fundamentals & project growth curve and why I also continue to add on weakness. Enjoyed the post ...more

@shaker13 you are one of the most knowledgeable on here. I meant a dud as we can't seem to get past the mid 30's. It has been very frustrating. If I sold at 0.30 and bought again at 0.22 the 4 times it has done it. I would have made about $29,000 each time. We need a set of good news releases in back to back days. I said this the last time we were in low 20's but I was foolish for not ...more

I think you nailed it Resilience check the link I provide at the bottom after some highlights I pulled and personal reflections Although I may not 100% agree with some of their findings, it is one powerful read. Warning: it is extensive so about a 20 minute read, but well worth it for the DM Bulls & res search junkies :-) Lol trying to temper my excitement but I totally cannot see how DM ...more
