DM news that they sign two new service agreements for film

Toronto, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - August 30, 2021) - Datametrex AI Limited (TSXV: DM) (FSE: D4G) (OTCQB: DTMXF) (the "Company" or "Datametrex") is pleased to announce that it has signed two (2) new service agreements for COVID-19 testing in Montreal with two Hollywood feature-length films.

The hyper-infectious Delta variant, which is significantly more contagious than the original variant of COVID-19, has been detected around 100 countries globally and is now the dominant variant worldwide, according to the US Centers for Disease Control.

As previously mentioned, Film and TV productions in Canada including unions representing production staff, film crews and actors along with Canadians in general, have a foremost concern regarding the Delta variant (B.1.617.2. variant), a hyper-contagious SARS-CoV-2 virus strain, which was first identified in India in October 2020.

Datametrex will continue to support Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal in providing critical COVID-19 testing kits for actors, film crews, and production support staff to prevent cluster outbreaks. Film and TV production companies all support continued use of safety protocols, especially COVID-19 testing to keep production members and actors healthy and safe while employed on sets and in production offices.

"The COVID-19 testing market in Montreal and across our network is an important business segment for Datametrex and we look to remain steadfast is supporting the film industry with COVID testing and now with the Delta variant of the virus now the dominant variant worldwide, it is right time to continue testing protocols to keep everyone working and continuing to stay healthy," stated Marshall Gunter, CEO of Datametrex.

Thanks @Mario79 ! I would have liked to see how many tests per month this contract will generate, that will be a good question for Marshall in today's Discord.  So is SCRN in the equation?

I am somewhat related to film, and while it's one of the most unpredictable businesses on the planet, this is what is generally going on: - Features take two to four months to shoot. - The crew size is usually between 100 and 150 ppl.  - On the US features and TV series, everyone is being tested at least twice a week, although some shows now do it 3 times a week. The testing ...more

Well that could be the case but SCRN just signed a deal for a feature film in Montreal and it quoted 20,000 tests, same type of movie same city so it can be done. My guess is SCRN pro is the laoboratory kits which are the most expensive kind and our deal is the one where you only need a nurse which is logical to assume as it's quite cheaper than going through a lab we'll see the kits ...more

20,000 tests is likely way more than will actually be used. They must be accounting for emergencies and accidents, which is smart and perhaps necessary in that very fast paced environment.  Extra supply may be needed in cases such as: - accidental contamination during testing (just opened kit got dropped on the floor, or someone sneezed on it, or a testing facility (often just a tent) got ...more

They typically have in the past, and you just pretty much did based on what you know. We shouldn't make excuses for their shroud of secrecy.

Could this secrecy be a political thing? Sometimes, when the news is really not that big, being silent could be more intriguing / less disappointing that saying that they signed a contract which will generate a whooping $15 in profit.. :-)

It seems more of a pattern of behavior lately.
