Greater Vancouver Area Potential

I think there are still many don't see the potential of our EV vertical.  Vancouver area has many cities, inlcuding North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Richmond, Burnaby, Vancouver itself, Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Port Moody, New Westminster, Maple Ridge, Surrey, Langley, White Rock, Pitt Meadows.  There are hundreds of thousands of government and private business buildings now, more will be built, and they are going to need EV charging service.

This is the greenest region of Canada and they love EV, so I can see DM doing very well here, and also don't forget other cities such as Victoria, Nanaimo, Abbotsford....etc, DM are going to have a blast just in BC alone.  I do see our EV vertical receiving tons of revenue, I am sure MG sees the potential that we don't.  And if we go beyond BC, say we go into Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada regions, our revenue will multiply very fast, and don't forget at some point some big companies will look into buying us out.  JMHO.

tankumo, what make of EV are you driving, and did you purchase it with the profits from your DM shares?

I am not driving an EV, my friend gave me a car to drive so I don't have to buy a new car.  I have not made profit from DM shares, yet.  I do plan to buy more shares if it goes down below 10 cents again.  But here in Vancouver I see so many EVs inlcuding Tesla and Hyunday, last Friday I saw a Kia EV6, it's beautiful.

Yes, Hyundai calls theirs the Iconiq6. Kia 60 hours to charge the battery at 110 volt. If you are fortunate enough to have a 220 outlet it will charge in 6 hours. Presume it will have an ever increasing effect on your electric bill -- vs gas? That will be a debate until they have enough tied in there will be no backing out. Kia EV6 Model year      ...more

p.s. The most I have ever paid for a car in my 66 years of driving is $14,000. I did actually buy one new car in that time. A 1964 Ford Falcon 4 door sedan, which at the time cost less than $3000. I will not be around long enough to try and find enough bucks to buy an EV. -- especially at 12 cents a DM share with the number of shares I have. :-))

Actually Hyundai currently has the Kona and Ioniq5 EV's for sale in Canada, a 2 year waitlist for an Ioniq5, demand exceeding supply. Just in case people don't realize EV are coming whether the agree or disagree. The automakers are investing multi-billions in the EV-battery space....if they don't they will be left in the dust..

And the dust may not be that bad. Better than being snowed!

And if you have access to a 350KW DC fast charger it will actually charge the car from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes.  A 50KW charger will take more than an hour to fully charge, but are more common.  DM does provide installation of 100KW fast charger.  If only one car is on the line you'll get the full 100KW, but it will reduce to 50KW with two cars.  Level 2 home ...more

And what's the fully installed cost of that 350KW DC Fast Charger? Who's paying for that? Or does some beneficial outfit like the local city Government just install them all over town at no cost (on the taxpayers dollar) -- not that I'm pessimistic of them having our best interest at heart.

The Tritium Veefil PK350 is an example of a 350KW Level 3 DC fast charger.  There's probably a reason as to why DM doesn't have these, as it will depend on the clients they are targeting.  I believe level 3 DC fast chargers can be upwards of $400 000.  Obviously prices will come down over time and it would probably depend on the number of fast chargers purchased by a company ...more

I wonder if DM charger using 240 or 480V, I heard fast charger can damage the battery.
