There's been no mention of well stimulation in the first two wells. This is the fracturing which causes water concerns. I'm not concerned. Jmo.

I imagine the company will address this on Monday morning. The CEO Rohlfing has went out of his way in previous interviews to state the importance of protecting ground water. Was the City of Flagstaff completely asleep at the wheel? I'm sure that there would have been filings about the proposed drilling well in advance to address any concerns.  I imagine the well is pretty much at full ...more

This is infuriating, but probably not too serious. The city is only seeking a hearing: even if they get one, the drill should be at touchdown by Monday.  At that point DME will pour some concrete and wait a few weeks to let it set as they prepare for the flow test. Hopefully during that time period they can deal with this spurious claim (which is what it is--DME are not drilling for ...more
