Leadbetter
From a personal perspective if I was leadbetter I would want enough money that I would not want for anything for the rest of my life say 10 million, what could you want to do or have that 10 million would not buy.
He has to be up there in age say 50-60 so say 40 years left on the planet (or could die next week) at best so 250,000 a year if you never invested a dime, if it is 20 million 500,000 a year to spend.
I would think it would be in his best interest to do whatever he has to to help this project to be a mine.
The Leadbetter name will be world renound decades after he is gone, not many people get a lasting footprint in the world and in history like that. You can't take the money with you so that is just something money can't buy.
At some point money becomes a non issue, you see it in ultra rich people that pay to have things done because they can even if it makes no sense whatsoever. 10 mil 20 mil whatever the number, no sense being greedy as it is more than you could spend, you can only go on so many vacations eat so much food and so on and never worry about paying for it.
We are here for a short time on this planet and I think leadbetter is smart enough to know that and make the most of it and his legacy while he is still around.
If it were me I would do whatever it took to help it become a mine or get out of the way so it could become a mine, having enough money that money is a non issue and the mine dream come into being.
