DV Plans Drilling in '24 After Big Bulk Project Acquisition Dolly Varden Silver (DV.v DOLLF) is set to acquire a 100% undivided interest in the southern portion of the Big Bulk Project from Libero Copper & Gold (LBC.v), doubling the project's size to approximately 6,000 hectares. The acquisition includes seven mineral claims and aims to consolidate a copper-gold porphyry project in the Golden Triangle of British Columbia.
The Big Bulk porphyry, discovered in the early 1900s, presents a bulk tonnage scenario with lower-grade copper, gold, silver, and molybdenum deposits amenable to low-cost open-pit mining.
The southern portion of the Big Bulk Property was explored in the early 2000s, and the northern part was drilled by AngloGold in 2009.
The strategic move aligns with Dolly Varden's focus on high-grade silver in the Kitsault Valley Project, located nearby. The company plans to deploy drills to the Big Bulk Project in 2024 to explore its potential further.
Additionally, Hecla Canada, who recently increased its stake in DV.v from 10.6% to 15.7%, controls a land package surrounding the consolidated Big Bulk Project.
