ECOMETALS ECUADOR PROPERTIES
On April 9, 2009, the Minister of Mines and Petroleum for Ecuador confirmed to Ecometals Ltd. by written notification that, with reference to those concessions which the company retained according to article No. 8 of the constitutional mandate No. 6 of the new mining law, the company is entitled to keep those mining rights and is authorized to reinitiate its operations.
Fran Scola, on behalf of the company, comments: "This is very welcome news for Ecometals. The decision recognizes us as a serious responsible exploration company in Ecuador, immediately following permits given to Kinross Aurelian and Corrientes Resources. It will enable us to continue our exploration activities in Ecuador."
