RE: the problem is...For a very long time on this board (well before this current correction in the zinc price) folks on this board have been scratching their heads and bemoaning the disconnect between the value of the deposit and the share price.
I think the big disconnect here is that these same folks don't understand that the share price reflects the value of the COMPANY and not the value of the deposit. The deposit is an asset of the company and if/when a company is no longer able to fund it's operations it is typically forced to sell its assets, often at a large discount to their value.
I have little doubt that the Selwyn deposit will make someone alot of money. My growing fear is that it will be the next owners of the deposit that will be the ones making the lions share.
