RE: Fairweather Friends

RE: Fairweather FriendsGot a chuckle from the title of your post there. You have an interesting concept of 'Fairweather'. OFN "There is a difference between speculating and investing. Those out there whining on this board hopefully have learned a lesson. There is one heck of a lot of difference between a speculation like SWN and a savings account in a secure bank." Agree with you 100% here. In fact, I have been very vocal in my objections when in the past cheerleaders on this forum point to the value of the deposit and imply that they are value investing even going so far as to invoke Warren Buffet. OFN "Regarding the News Release the fact that about a dozen majors are looking at data regarding the work done at SWN is reassuring to this speculator." Old news, although I have to admit I was surprised at the number of 'interested' parties out there. It makes it all the more astounding that our crack managment team hasn't been able to ink an agreement in all this time in such a 'target rich' environment. OFN "Some folks are really upset at the share price perhaps justifiably so. However a risk management approach to this issue would have allowed you to sleep at night." LOL, I hope you're not referring to me. I've been playing with the house's money on this one for almost a year! I've slept pretty well in that time. I've been unhappy with this managment for a long time and rather than make excuses for them I've expressed my displeasure on these forums. Unlike others who've tried to lure newbies into buying this stock based on analysis narrowly focused on the quality of the deposit. I've tried to inform newcommers that there is a managment in place that doesn't appear to have alot of concern for their shareholders. OFN: "I am not a buyer at this price. The following old saying is appropriate to my speculating method-double up and sleep in the park!" If people on this board only take one piece of advice from any post(er) what you say above should be it. Never, never, never 'average down' all you wind up doing is throwing good money after bad.
