GWR Appoints John Brown as Acting President and CEO, Purchases Lac La Hache Facility

ARMSTRONG, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- GWR Resources Inc. (the "Company" or"GWR") (TSX Venture: GWQ) is pleased to report that a series of positivemanagement and administrative changes are underway which better supportanticipated growth as the company moves forward. These changes willallow improved operational control, transparency and accountability toour shareholders.

As an interim measure, the Board of Directorshas appointed John K. Brown, currently a Director and Chairman of theBoard, to serve as President and CEO on an acting basis, while the Boardreviews suitable candidates for the position(s).

The Company hascompleted the purchase of the Lac La Hache facility, reducing relatedmonthly rental fees. To further reduce overhead, the Company has closedthe Armstrong office, to amalgamate its Corporate and Field operationsin Lac La Hache. Drilling planned under the 2011 summer/fall explorationprogram at Lac La Hache is well funded and will be conducted under atendering process. Funding details will be announced shortly.


GWR Resources

GWRis an active mineral exploration company currently exploring for goldand base metals on two properties within Canada. The Lac La Hachecopper-gold porphyry project hosts multiple zones containing commercialgrades of gold, copper, silver and magnetite. The project is located inBritish Columbia's prolific Quesnel Trough between producing mines atImperial Metals' Mt. Polley Copper-Gold Mine and New Gold Inc.'s NewAfton Copper-Gold project (Teck-Cominco's legendary Afton mine). The LacLa Hache project is well-served by rail, road and power infrastructure.The Sainte Sabine gold (+Ag, Zn, Cu) property is located within theBellechasse Mineral Belt in southeastern Quebec, adjacent to known zoneson Golden Hope Mines' Bellechasse Project.
