Ecuador and Australia to Sign Mining MOU

The Ecuadorean Ministry of Mining announced on Friday 20 November 2015 its intention to sign a Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") with the Australian Government next month in Ecuador's capital city of Quito.

The MOU will cover the development and expansion of cooperative ties in the mining sector between both countries, aiming to create a positive setting for trade and investment between the mining industries of Australia and Ecuador. The MOU will also seek to promote the exchange of technical expertise and sustainable mining practices.

Good to know. Looks like Equador is good in signing MOUs & marketing only but very bad in implementing. I may be wrong but i haven't heard any major player has really started any work. Again i may be wrong but I am losing hopes on Equador.

Sk you should do some dd... Go on Lundin website and read the last NR. Agreement between Lundin and ecuador should be sign by year end. they expect 750m in new mining investment during 2016. GLTA RM
