Higher gold price is not good sign for economy and anyways higher gold price is not going to benefit EGX as it is not at production stage and don't know when EGX will reach at that stage and I have serious doubt if it will ever reach at production stage.

What? I hope your not serious!! 1) EGX is not planning to produce (mine). They don't have nearly enough money to build the $500,000,000 plant to process. The plan is to find it and sell the company. 2) Higher gold is higher return rate on the Gold return rate on mining. I.E we breakeven somewhere around now @ 1150/oz and above $1300/oz makes it fairly profitable to mine the low grade. Read

Also, im not sure how exactly your linking our economy into gold but oil is what is causing our economy to downturn. Furthermore, a not so great economy causes the value of the U.S dollar to go higher.
