In South Africa, it holds two offshore petroleum licenses in South Africa, being petroleum exploration license number 2B (the 2B Block) and petroleum exploration license number 3B/4B (the 3B/4B Block).

Walvis Basin

I already wrote on this board so many times the importance of being in Walvis basin versus the other 3 and it was also mentioned in today's release:

"Being relatively early into the play we have had our choice of the basins and we have selected to focus on the Walvis Basin, based on a number of factors we define into the high prospectivity for oil."

EOG now with net of plus 12 billion barrels prospective resources in Walvis Basin should have no problems getting attention from super majors.
