Namibe Basin Since Chariot well was drilled in a separate basin than EOG blocks, you would think those holding licenses in that basin should have taken a bigger hit due to this duster by Chariot but ENG for example only drop 15.6% where as EOG dropped 26%? Just does not make sense. Walvis block is a completely different basin than Namibe basin and is the one that is more oil prone (Walvis basin showed lots of oil seeps) - see CEO comment at the 4 to 5 minute mark of this interview:

HRT well in the Walvis basin that should be spud in less than a year will be the most important well for EOG to keep it's eye on. All the others in other basins will just help in that any hit will bring more focus to offshore Namibia and all players get a bump although players in Namibe basin now looks less interesting after Chariot results.
In a sense, you could look at Chariot miss in Namibe basin as being a positive to a small player like EOG that has it's blocks in a different basin - positive in that new entrants will want a piece of the other basin rather than the Namibe basin that just had this duster unless further analysis of Chariot results show something good.
