That was quite the file and I am by no means a petroleum expert.  I just think if Africa Oil thought this was a good company at about 0.48, then I should buy some at these prices.  It is the same way I came to a decision to invest more into Ivanhoe Mines.  I saw the Chinese companies ante up, and I thought if the stock was below what they paid for their interest in the company then it must be a good deal.

Africa Oil didn't buy into this at 0.48, they bought in at about 1.48! (I think it was actually a bit lower, somewhere in the 1.30s if I recall).  I was in both AOI and EOG but have recently consolidated my shares to Eco. The reasons the share price is so depressed right now has little to do with this company, and more to do with Tullow and COVID.  Are they going to drill again? 99 ...more

While totally subjective I'd keep this in mind in terms of the run up to drilling:   Previous SP was made targeting roughly 450 million barrels New targets would be roughly twice that Tullow, if they stay in the game has a massive self interest in this being successful while they teeter on the brink. Think PR IMO with time comes clarity here, with clarity comes price ...more
