Billion Gross Revenue
Billion Gross RevenueI did a search of companies in canada by gross revenue and arrived at the website below. I picked a few companies from $1 billion down to about $890 million. The list below is the share price (bid) today and the outstanding shares. There is only one mining company on the list....New Gold with S/P of 5.39 and O/S of 519 million.
S/P O/S
Home Capital 29.55 64 million
Manitoba Telecoms 37.83 74 million
Rocky Mtn Dealers 10.94 19 million
Dominion Diamond 10.35 83 million
First National Fin. 28.83 60 million
Indigo Books 17.55 26 million
New Gold Inc. 5.39 513 million
Now, if you want to have some fun, do a stock consolidation on New Gold that brings it down to the number of shares of any of these companies. For example:
Dominion Diamond and New Gold.....you'd have to do roughly a 6:1 consolidation to get NG down to 83 m shares. Now multiply $5.39 X 6 = new S/P = $32.34
If you did it with Rocky Mtn and New Gold....the consolidation is about 27:1
$5.39 X 27 = new share price about $ 145.00

I guess what I'm seeing here is that companies with $1 billion annual gross revenues do not remain $0.13 stocks for very long. I don't know what our share price will be in a week, a month or a year but I do believe it's going to go up a lot higher than it is now. I'm staying in but feel free to decide for yourselves.
Good luck to all real investors!
