Empower Technologies™ Signs $40 Million Sales Agreement
May 12, 2008, Richmond,British Columbia– Empower Technologies (“Empower”) (TSX.V: EPT) has landed its firstsignificant sale - a 5 year volume Purchase Order (PO) from AdvantecComputer Systems, LLC (“Advantec”) under certain terms and conditionsto supply industrial handheld computers to their Value Added Resellers(VAR). Empower is rapidly capitalizing on this market leadership withthe signing of the Distribution Agreement with Advantec. Under theAgreement, Advantec will distribute Empower’s OEM/ODM (“OriginalEquipment Manufacturer” / ”Original Design Manufacturer”) industrialhandheld and tablet to the healthcare, hospitality, field repair,utilities, transportation, retail, public safety, government and otherindustrial vertically integrated customers through Advantec’s vast VARand SI (“System Integrator”) distribution network. The sale from thisfive (5) year PO is valued at about $40 million US dollars.
