RE: National debt The financial position of Canada is no where as bad as the US. Resources we hold in abundance are in strong demand and I expect our dollar to continue to rise against the US dollar. We all continue to hear that the US balance sheet is worse than in Europe. If their currency ever ceases to be the world reserve currency, bad things are in store for them. I expect this will happen before long if they do not quit spending money they don't have and running the printing presses at the federal reserve to cover.
